BATTERIES—Check Battery Cables and Posts for corrosion and clean them as needed.
BRAKES—A thorough brake inspection should be completed once a year, brake inspections should include checking pads, shoes, calipers, rotors and brake fluid.
BLADES—Inspect wiper blades every 6 months for cracks and tears.
BELTS & HOSES—It is important to have your belts and hoses inspected and replaced before they go bad and leave you stranded.
ENGINE OIL—It is recommended that you change your oil every 3,000 miles. Make sure to check the oil level in your vehicle. Low oil makes your engine work harder.
FILTERS & FLUIDS—Change your filters. Dirty filters can increase the amount of fuel your vehicle uses by 10%. You should also check the levels of your fluids. These fluids include coolant, power steering, engine oil, transmission fluid and windshield washer fluid. You should also have your fluids checked to see if they are dirty. Dirty fluids can cause more expensive repairs to be needed.
TIRES—Keep your tires properly inflated and aligned. Tires that are not properly inflated and aligned can cause excessive tread wear and decreased fuel mileage.
TUNE-UPS—Regular engine tune-ups and maintenance checks will prevent problems. A lot can go wrong with your vehicle and repairs can be very costly if you don't care for your vehicle properly. |
